It calculates the weighted average for the courses you enter — add all your courses across semesters for a cumulative GPA.

Can I remove a course?

What if my school uses a different grading scale?

This tool uses a standard 4.0 scale — if your institution uses a different scale (e.g. 5.0), the calculated GPA won't directly match your official transcript.

Can I add more than three courses?

How are credit hours weighted in the calculation?

Each course's grade points are multiplied by its credit hours before summing, so a 4-credit course affects your GPA twice as much as a 2-credit course.

Does a 0-credit course affect my GPA?

No, courses with 0 credits are excluded from the calculation entirely since they contribute no weight to the average.

How does weighted GPA work?

Mark a course as Honors (+0.5) or AP / IB (+1.0) and the weighted GPA adds that bonus to each passing grade. An F stays at zero. The unweighted GPA is shown next to it.
